They are also very affectionate with their owners and love to cuddle up in your arms while you watch TV or read a book. These are very social birds and need a lot of attention from their owners, however they are not the best bird for beginners as they require a lot of time and patience to tame down. 2. Cockatoo parrots
Cockatoo's are also very popular pet birds in Australia. They have beautiful feathers which range from purple, blue or green depending on the species that you choose to own as a pet. Some cockatoo species include budgies, rosellas, macaws and galahs among many others! Cockatoos can be quite loud though so if noise doesn't bother you then these make an excellent pet bird! These birds love to play games with their owners such as fetching sticks or balls out of their cage so if your looking for a playmate then this is the perfect bird for you!
